With longer
sunny days of spring,
The grass
begins to grow,
And flowers
open up with pride,
To share
their colored show.
The birds
are singing in the trees;
Their nests
are built with care,
While
smells of spring are in the breeze,
And carried
everywhere.
It’s at
this time, the Bunny’s work
Begins with
pure intent.
He visits
every house and home,
Until his
strength is spent.
With
colored eggs and chocolate things,
The bunny
hides for fun,
He
tantalizes young and old,
Until his
job is done.
Then Easter
morning finally comes,
And
children try their best,
To find
each hidden, colored egg,
Will be
their youthful quest.
I’m not
quite sure who smiles the most
As small
hands search with care;
Could
children have the winning smiles,
Or parents,
when they share?
